Learn about Cascaad
What is Cascaad?
Cascaad is an interest-centered social hub and networking service that helps you discover and join relevant conversations on the topics that you care about. Cascaad filters your social streams based on your personal interests and recommends new content that you might like. Cascaad also organizes conversations in topics page, so that you can easily track the relevant discussions on your favorite topics and find people with similar passions. The service is accessible via our Web site and iPhone app, as well as through APIs available to third-party developer.
The underlying magics
Under the hood, Cascaad leverages semantic and social recommender technologies to give you a personalized, real-time experience of the social web based on your personal interests and social affinities. The breakthrough personalized recommender engine behind Cascaad automatically learns to adjust the community-driven ranking of published items based on their match with your own interest and social profile. Your profile gets updated automatically on the basis of the content you like, dislike or interact with. Hence the more you use Cascaad, the better it gets.
The team
Cascaad was created by a team of computer scientists and Internet innovators with deep experience in such things as social media design, graph-based recommender systems, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) and the Semantic Web.
Before joining Cascaad, members of our team worked at Institutions such as Stanford, Xerox Parc, Deri and Yahoo!.
Cascaad is based in Milan (Italy) and San Francisco, and it is backed by VC firm Innogest Capital.
