Learn about Cascaad
Company
Cascaad was founded in 2008 with the goal of making the online experience more personal and relevant.
The social web has grown into a formidable source of information on current events and opinions, as well as on our more immediate social and physical surroundings. Yet tools have been lacking to effectively separate signal from noise and help users keep up with the sheer volume and multiplicity of real-time sources that we follow through our social connections. Our vision is to develop breakthrough discovery technology and products that can leverage social signals and individual interests to create better information consumption experiences.
Our first products built on top of our core real-time recommendation platform consist of smart social reader applications for iPhone and for web browsers. These products help users discover the personally relevant stories shared by their immediate and extended social circles on Twitter and Facebook, without sifting through all the noise. Along with the smart social reader applications, we launched Frontpage, which augments the Cascaad reader experience by offering a dynamic newspaper-like pagination of all the personally-relevant content shared through your social graph.
Cascaad has also introduced an innovative contextual browser extension called Splice that leverages our cutting-edge semantic extraction technology to automatically enrich your favorite social networking web sites with relevant web information about the topics being discussed.
More recently, we embarked in a new and exciting project which has become the core of the Cascaad offering: CircleMe. CircleMe provides an inspiring social experience to collect the things you love and discover new ones. You can learn more about CircleMe by visiting this page: http://circleme.com/about
The company is backed by VC firm Innogest Capital. Its offices are currently in London (UK) and Milan (IT).
